Selected Learning Experiences
Introduction (6 minutes)
- Review homework: Check illustrated glossaries and process flow diagrams
- Pose the key inquiry question
- Show different types of cables and ask: “Why do we have so many different types of cables and wireless technologies?”
- Brief discussion on media they’ve encountered (Ethernet cables, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, fiber optic)
- Explain that different media suit different purposes
- Introduce the two main categories: guided and unguided media
