Silver Streak Dianella, also known as Variegated Flax Lily, is a broad-leafed, variegated grass-like herbaceous plant in the lily family. Its variegated foliage is green with cream-white fringes. Silver Streak Dianella plant grows in a clumping habit that can add a tropical feel to your landscape. In the spring this perennial flax lily produces spikes of pale violet-blue blooms that are followed by bright blue berries in summer. This plant is often used in mass plantings, ground covers, borders, woodland gardens, mixed container gardens, and in coastal landscapes. In warmer climates, the Silver Streak will be evergreen, and in cooler climates, it will act like a perennial and die back in fall to re-emerge in spring.
