The book of Genesis contains two different accounts of the creation of the world and humanity, commonly referred to as the “Creation Story” and the “Adam and Eve Story.”
The Creation Story, found in Genesis 1:1-2:3, describes the creation of the universe and all living beings in six days, with God resting on the seventh day. It presents a systematic and ordered account of creation, emphasizing the divine power and purpose behind each stage.
On the other hand, the Adam and Eve Story, found in Genesis 2:4-3:24, provides a more narrative and detailed account of the creation of Adam and Eve, the first human beings. This story focuses on the Garden of Eden, the formation of Adam from dust, the creation of Eve from Adam’s rib, and their subsequent disobedience and expulsion from the garden.
