How Jesus fulfilled his mission in Jerusalem
- Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey to symbolize that he was the messiah out to bring peace to the people
- He cleansed the temple/purified the Jewish religion
- An Gethsemane, Jesus prayed that God may remove the cup of suffering but gave preference to the will of God
- During His triumphant entry, people spread their clothes on the road and proclaimed him as king
- Riding on the donkey signified that Jesus was humble, spiritual messiah and not political messiah expected by the Jews.
- Jesus suffered and died in Jerusalem just as it had been foretold
