Selected Learning Experiences
Introduction (6 minutes)
- Review homework: Check port identification charts
- Pose the key inquiry question
- Show image/video of incorrectly connected computer (cables forced into wrong ports, tangled wires)
- Ask: “What could go wrong if we don’t follow proper procedures?”
- Brief discussion on safety hazards: electric shock, equipment damage, fire risk, tripping hazards
- Introduce safety as the foundation of computer setup
