The five visions of the prophet Amos are as follows:
- He saw a swarm of locusts.
Amos saw God sending a swarm of locusts to destroy everything on land.
Amos pleaded with God to forgive his people
God listened to Amos and withdrew the punishment. - He saw a great fire sent by God.
Amos saw a great fire burning up the seas and extending to the land.
God reversed the punishment after Amos pleaded with Him. - He saw a crooked wall being measured using a plumbline.
Amos saw the Lord holding a plumb line checking on a crooked wall. God swore to punish Israeli - He saw a basket full of ripe fruits/summer fruits
Amos saw a basket of summer fruits. God told Amos that the time had come to punish Israel. - He saw the destruction of the alter / temple
Amos saw the Lord standing by the altar.
The Lord commanded the destruction of the temple.
The destruction would be total and no one would escape the punishment.
