- It is a continuation of Jesus works of healing
- The church has a duty to guide and counsel/ promote moral values in the Society
- To cater for the infected / affected members within the church
- To conserve / preserve God’s creation
- It is the duty of the church to help reduce human suffering
- To promote economic development
- To promote peace in the family co- existence
