How could God Punish the Israelites for their sins according to the prophet Amos? (6 marks)
- Inversion by foreign nation;
- Israel would be taken into exile. The rich who oppress the poor would lose their wealth;
- Their land would be occupied by foreign nations
- Amaziah the priest and the King would die by the sword/people;
- There would be pestilences/epidemics;
- The land would be covered by total eclipse/darkness;
- There would be famine/hunger;
- They will hunger/thirst for the word of God;
- Israel would be besieged by a foreign nation.
